Dr. Rubencio Quintana’s goal as a doctor has always been to provide the best health care possible in a family environment. He opened his own practice in 2002 so that he could spend more time with his patients and use computer technology to access the latest information and refer his patients to the best specialists. In his current practice, Dr. Quintana is able to spend time listening and getting to know his patients as he believes that listening to patients is the single most important skill that a doctor can possess. Over his years of practice, Dr. Quintana has built a reputation as a doctor whose patients are not rushed and who provides unbiased and personalized health advice. Additionally, he specializes in evaluating patients who are seeking second opinions.
Dr. Quintana was born and raised in New York City where he attended college at Columbia University. He went on to graduate from Harvard Medical School. He completed his internal medicine training at the Kaiser Permanente UCLA Program and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. After finishing his training, Dr. Quintana joined the full-time faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1995 where he served for over 8 years. He still is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA teaching medical students in his office and at the medical school. In 2002, he opened his own private practice in Beverly Hills. He holds attending privileges at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Quintana enjoys spending time with his wife Glenda and his two children, or running in the Los Angeles area.
